Metalworld was established in 1994 with primary focus on the design, fabrication and installation of mild steel, wrought iron and stainless steel products such as door grilles, window grilles, driveway gates, railings, boundary fence and other customized products for direct consumers.
But over the years we have expanded our scope and ventured to sub-contract works for Residential and Mixed Development projects. To name a few, we have completed our steelworks for The Rochester, Paterson Suites, Changi Business Park. We have also completed our metal works and structural steel works at Condominium projects like Ascentia Sky at Alexandra Road and Design & Build (D&B) Condominium Development for Austville at Sengkang East.
Because of the distinct workmanship that has instituted our company over the years; we have entered almost all sectors to build our metal works. We have done our trade at National University of Singapore (NUS), National Technological University (NTU), National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore Polytechnic, National Continuing Education and Training (CET) Campus, MRT stations, and have completed Addition and Alteration (A&A) works to Shopping malls like Bishan Junction 8 and Plaza Singapura. The works involved are not limited to fabrication and installation of metal railings, wall cladding, bollards and more. Furthermore, we have installed our heavy duty crash barriers and gates to Singapore Power sub-stations, Fire stations and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminals all across the island. We are also involved in the massive works in Singapore Sports Hub, and presently working on gangway railings on the renovation works at Singapore Changi Airport Terminals 1 & 2.
Metalworld’s pioneer sculpture project involved the supply and installation of a copper sculpture featuring five beautiful swans at the Swan lake of Singapore Botanic Gardens. The sheer size of the sculpture easily makes it one of the largest copper sculptures in Singapore.
We did a Ring Sculpture for Livia Condo which involves delicate detailing of the rolled metal pieces into a huge diameter of rings clustered together and housed a stained glass feature. We did wall showcase of a flock of birds and fishes for Resort’s World Sentosa, and a landmark sculpture entitled “Window of Hope”. This sculpture is installed next to Fullerton One Building overlooking Marina Bay Sand.
Metalworld has also set foot on the world of Themed Parks. Our company has been one of the primary key players in the construction of Universal Studios-Resorts World at Sentosa, with our Queue Railings vastly stretching the ‘Hollywood and New York Land’ premises. Our meticulously designed Windows, Doors, customized iron mongeries both in Wrought iron and Brass are also showcased at the Dreamworks Zone castles of the now World-class Park. We have made the already grand castles even grander by our laser cut metal shrouds all across its peak. We have installed the Wrought iron queue railings for most of the ride attractions and moreover, we hanged a captivatingly elegant, rustic-vintage looking chandelier inside the castle.
